With mentors as inspiring as her mother and LA architect Jamie Bush, Noelani Ley was destined to be successful as an interior designer. But first there were stops in Massachusetts at Smith College where she earned her B.A. in Art History. From there she headed to Los Angeles where she served stints as a buyer and stylist; then set decorator in the design and fabrication of sets for films, commercials, and music videos; then as interior-design assistant designing furniture and floor plans, basically learning how to run a residential and commercial interior-design firm from top to bottom. A quick study, Noe became an entrepreneur, founding her own design firm, Noelani Ley Inc., where she made a name for herself designing the interiors of celebrity homes and working with business clients in California, New York and Grenada.
Ten years later, Hawaii called Noelani home. The Kauai native first worked for Group 70 International and then Philpotts Interiors before joining the collaborative team at Indigo Republic where her forte is designing custom fabricated furnishings that reflect both the client’s taste and the architect’s vision.
In addition to her B.A. degree, Noe completed UCLA’s Interior Design Professional Level Certification Program, and is an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). Noelani Ley resides in Honolulu surrounded by Hawaii’s ever-present beauty, a continual inspiration for her designs.
